Chapter 5 Xiao Wu
Wu Tong walked towards the door, but suddenly frowned as if he remembered something. In the original story, Tang San and Xiao Wu seemed to be staying in this dormitory.
Could it be that there were no other dormitories in the academy? All the work-study students were squeezed into one dormitory.
Wu Tong couldn't help but think to himself darkly.
He shook his head and pushed away those complicated thoughts from his mind.
Reaching out, he opened the somewhat old dormitory door.
As soon as Wu Tong stepped into the dormitory, a pink figure rushed towards him.
Only after the figure stood still did Wu Tong realize who it was. It was a little girl, about six or seven years old. She had long, silky hair like silk, tied into a long braid hanging behind her, making her look cute and lively.
Her bright amber eyes shone like two sparkling gems, full of vitality and wisdom. Her gaze carried a hint of curiosity and exploration, as if she was filled with an endless desire to discover the world.
Her skin was as white as snow, smooth and fine, reflecting sunlight. She wore rabbit and carrot charms around her neck.
The moment Wu Tong saw this girl, he knew that she was likely the luck charm for Tang San, the protagonist of the Soul Continent, named Xiao Wu.
"Boy, you're a new work-study student," Xiao Wu said haughtily, crossing her arms as she sized up Wu Tong with a composed expression. Several pairs of eyes turned to look at them from behind her.
There was a mixture of amusement, encouragement, and curiosity among them, as if everyone knew what would happen next.
Head of the dorm?
Wu Tong inwardly smirked. Arrogant and unreasonable, with an extremely strong desire to win; otherwise, just a troublemaker... It seemed that the labels given by his online friends to Xiao Wu in his previous life were not wrong at all.
"Boy, remember my name is Xiao Wu. I am the head of Dorm Seven. From now on, you are my little brother. Remember to call me Sister Xiao Wu," Xiao Wu said in a petulant tone.
"Alright, Sister Xiao Wu."
Wu Tong didn't have any intention to argue. After all, he had no combat experience, and his spiritual aura wasn't a fighting spirit.
So, he chose to go along with her challenge.
Just treat it as comforting a child, he thought to himself.
Although this child was already over ten thousand years old.
"Hello everyone! My name is Wu Tong. I'm a work-study student from Panshan Village. I have complete soul power and my spirit form is my own body," Wu Tong said simply when faced with dozens of pairs of eyes looking at him. Since they would live together for six years, it might as well get to know each other beforehand.
When the children heard "complete soul power," their eyes lit up with envy and jealousy. But when they heard "spirit form," their expressions revealed a faint disdain.
Children couldn't hide their feelings.
Only a boy in the corner, who looked plain and unremarkable, expressed some confusion: "Spirit form? Can parts of one's body also become a spirit form? I'll ask the teacher about it tomorrow."
Wu Tong didn't pay much attention to their gazes. After all, he had already anticipated potential cold shoulders when he learned about spirit forms in today's society.
Wu Tong sidestepped Xiao Wu and found an empty bed to put down his luggage before tidying up his sleeping arrangement.
Seeing that none of the other work-study students got to see what they wanted, they dispersed in disappointment.
Bang!
Seeing that she couldn't display her authority, Xiao Wu stomped her foot hard, producing a dull sound. Then she jumped onto the bed and covered her head with her hands, seemingly sulking.
Wu Tong didn't bother with Xiao Wu and finished tidying up his bed before leaving the dormitory.
Feeling sticky all over, he decided to go to the shower room first to take a bath.
